I had an assignment-first flow followed by multiple manager and teammate discussions, with both coding and SQL/problem-solving topics.

Coding assignment — I was given a coding task to complete.
Phone interview with managers — One manager asked me to write a small Python solution for a children’s game; another dug into specific project items they were working on.
Onsite: teammates + SQL — I met additional teammates who asked SQL-related questions and how I’d handle development problems. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway was that even with an assignment-first process, the evaluation jumped quickly between coding, domain specifics, and practical problem handling.
