Chicago, ILPosted Sep 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My recruiter-driven path for the Software Engineer role felt unusually inconsistent and unfairly calibrated, with unclear technical evaluation and long gaps that made the process feel chaotic.

HR recruiter email exchange — I was contacted by email to schedule time and asked to share my resume.
HR-led question stage — the recruiter asked technical questions despite lacking technical expertise, and my outcome seemed tied to whether my written answers matched exact phrasing. Outcome: I wasn’t selected; the takeaway was that the technical screen didn’t reflect a fair, skills-based process.
