Chicago, ILPosted May 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I experienced a long, multi-month interview journey for the Software Engineer role with strong signals early on, but the outcome didn’t align with my expectations.

Initial recruiter outreach — I was contacted after an earlier application and told I was a good fit.
Multiple phone interviews + WebEx — I went through repeated screening conversations.
Grueling onsite with multiple team members — I completed an onsite in which I felt I cleared hurdles and received positive feedback.
Reorg delay impact — after interviews, an announced reorganization stretched timelines beyond what was communicated. Outcome: I didn’t end up getting an offer; the takeaway was that internal business changes can override strong interview progress.
