San Diego, CAPosted Jan 2016 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Java/engineering role where promises made early didn’t match the structure I saw in person, and I ended up in a panel setting with limited feedback.

Recruiter call — We discussed the role and set expectations early.
Onsite: panel whiteboarding — Instead of a 1:1 interview, it became a 3–4 person panel whiteboarding session; I was asked technical questions with a strong algorithm focus and interviewers who struggled to describe problems clearly.
No clear feedback loop — I was left unsure whether my answers were misunderstood, too difficult, or simply not aligned. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the takeaway was that clarity of problem statements and feedback matter, especially in whiteboard-heavy panels.
