I got an email the day before the interview with the scheduling details from the regional manager, and I remember quickly replying to confirm I was interested.

The regional manager wasn’t immediately available when I reached out, so I left a message and waited for her to call back. The next day was the interview, and I showed up at the hotel lobby where they were conducting interviews in an open area.

What really stood out was the setting: people were sitting around and the hotel TV had CNN playing in the background. I wandered into the area, grabbed coffee, and was approached by the local manager in a golf shirt and khakis. He introduced himself by first name and explained the regional manager was elsewhere, so he would be running the interview.
