I went through a more intensive Hays Consultant interview journey with several rounds and an assessment center, where the sales simulations and group components were the biggest challenge over roughly a few weeks.

Recruiter/HR phone screen — A call to cover my experience, motivations, and whether I could thrive in a target-driven role.
Assessment center — I spent time in group-based testing and role-play focused on sales situations like cold calling, objections, and controlling the conversation.
Team/department interviews — In-person or site interviews with managers to evaluate fit, often including discussion of my CV and how I’d perform day to day.
Mock/presentation-style practice — Some paths included mock calls and/or extra tasks to simulate real client interactions.
