I had a phone interview that was basically a warm-up: basic background questions and a friendly conversation.

The interviewer was nice, and the whole call didn’t feel like it carried much uncertainty or tension.

What made the experience memorable in a frustrating way was what happened afterward. I never got invited to a second interview, and I didn’t receive any feedback either. The lack of follow-up was disappointing because the recruiter interaction itself had been pleasant.

In the end, I never made it past that initial phone screen, and the process felt unfinished rather than truly competitive. Looking back, what I cared about most wasn’t the difficulty level—it was the silence afterward.
