Goldman Sachs Software Engineer interview experience

Once I cleared that, the next stage was two 45-minute interviews back to back.

Those interviews were a mix of behavioral questions and LeetCode-style algorithm design focused on data structures and logic. There was a key detail: no coding was required during those rounds, which changed how I approached the problems since it was more about explaining solutions than producing code.

I didn’t get an offer. Even without coding, it felt like the difficulty came from having to think through the approach clearly and keep the reasoning coherent across two back-to-back conversations.
