My interview was with my current manager, and it ended up being a smooth, easy conversation rather than a formal evaluation.

Since it was only one interview, there wasn’t any extra back-and-forth to manage.

What I appreciated most was the flow: I had room to ask questions and the discussion felt genuinely two-way. It didn’t feel like an interrogation, and I enjoyed being able to connect the role to what I was already doing. Overall there wasn’t much drama—just a straightforward conversation that wrapped up quickly.
