I started out kind of scrambling after the career fair, talking to lots of different groups and quickly realizing many of them weren’t sure who they were looking for or what they’d need to hire for.

Eventually I connected with a couple of the groups that seemed more aligned, and I applied through them.

What followed was a quick, low-friction sequence: first a phone interview and then a 1:1 meeting. Even though I was unsure early on, the momentum picked up once I landed in the right channels.

Overall it felt very easy, mainly because the steps were minimal and the process moved without a lot of friction. It was one of those experiences where the hardest part was just getting noticed, and then the interviewing part was comparatively straightforward.
