After my recruiter-stage conversation, I ended up in a manager-led loop where the tone was genuinely friendly and conversational rather than stiff.

The team walked me through what the role would involve, and I answered technical questions that were more about role alignment than trick questions.

When I followed up afterward to ask how I did, I didn’t get brushed off. Even though they decided not to extend an offer, the manager gave constructive feedback and kept the communication respectful. That human, straightforward closure was the part that stayed with me most—I appreciated that they didn’t disappear after the decision.
