GlobalFoundries Software Engineer interview experience

The discussion felt pretty straightforward: the interviewer asked the usual background questions and then mixed in some technical questions. What stood out was that they also spent time on how I thought about the future—specifically asking about my 5-year plan and what the reasons were for choosing this role.

After that interview, I didn’t hear anything immediately. About two weeks later, HR called me, and that was the only follow-up I remember from the process. Overall it felt fairly average in difficulty, and the experience leaned more conversational than like a deep technical test.
