I applied for a Software Engineer role at GitLab and experienced delays and an early stop, with the longest part being scheduling.

Recruiter scheduling + initial screen — The first interview happened about three weeks after initial contact due to limited recruiter availability.
Technical interview — A technical interview followed roughly a week later. Outcome: The process stopped two days after the tech interview, and I couldn’t tell why I wasn’t selected; I felt it may have been driven by applicant volume and ambiguity in the coding-style assessment.
