Genesys Software Engineer interview experience

Negative

Indianapolis, INPosted Jun 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for the Software Engineer role but had a notably negative experience, largely due to interviewer professionalism and mismatch on perceived relevance.

Technical + process discussion (confrontational tone) — I discussed testing processes and answered questions about my current approach, but the interviewer criticized and challenged the way I described it, making the conversation feel borderline confrontational. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway is that even with strong credentials, communication and interviewer tone can heavily affect outcomes.
