Genesys Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Positive

United StatesPosted Aug 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for this Software Engineer role through a quick, intern-like process that moved fast and felt friendly and relaxed, with only a few conversations over a short timeline.

Phone interview (team leads) — I spoke with two team leads; after it became clear I fit better with one team, the process continued with only that team lead.
Live discussion of projects — no whiteboarding; it was discussion-based about my experience, projects, and some backend web development topics.
Video interview scheduling (cancelled) — a video interview was initially arranged, but later they told me it wasn’t needed. Outcome: I got an offer, and the takeaway was that the team prioritized fit and conversation speed over formal live exercises.
