General Dynamics Information Technology Software Engineer interview experience

The main thing they seemed to want to understand was my work attitude—whether I was dependable, not “lazy,” and willing to jump in to help when something wasn’t directly my responsibility.

Most of the conversation centered on my experiences rather than deep dives. The questions felt more like checking character and collaboration than evaluating engineering depth. I didn’t get an offer from this process, and honestly it left me feeling like the bar was more about temperament than technical rigor.
