I applied for a Research Analyst opportunity through a college internship/replacement style path, and the selection emphasized intense trading-game practice.

Presentation + two timed tests — After a brief company intro, I did an algebra test (30 questions in 10 minutes) and a second aptitude paper (around 30 minutes).
Trading simulation over 14 days — Those shortlisted had to play a trading game for 14 days with long daily sessions; endurance and performance determined who reached the final interview. Outcome: I didn’t end up with an offer, and the takeaway was to treat the simulation as the core challenge, not the side task.
