South GoaPosted Apr 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for FICO’s Software Engineer role where DSA and OOP concepts were central, and the process felt average with moderate coding difficulty.

DSA/OOP technical focus — I answered DSA and OOP questions, typically using Java, while they were open to alternatives like C++.
Bit logic + searching/sorting — I was tested on bit-level logic plus classic algorithmic tasks like searching and sorting.
Academic performance check — They also considered college academic performance. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer, and the takeaway was to prepare for moderate DSA problems plus clear explanation.
