San Diego, CAPosted Dec 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at FICO with a fairly classic flow—screening, technical, then a culture/process check.

Phone screening — an initial recruiter-style screening to confirm fit.
Technical interview (team) — a fairly detailed technical session with the role’s topic areas.
Cultural fit interview — a meeting aimed at leadership/director-level alignment.
Onsite: presentation/evaluation — one version of the process included a presentation and evaluation on site, with expenses covered and an upbeat tone. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway was that they mixed substantive technical assessment with a strong emphasis on fit and communication.
