I could tell the interviews weren’t heavily scripted.

The team members running my conversations hadn’t had formal interview training, so they mostly spoke based on instinct instead of following standardized screening questions. The biggest thing I noticed was that it wasn’t just about answering—it was about steering the conversation so it didn’t drift.

I found myself paying close attention to timing and making sure I covered key topics they seemed to want, without taking over the entire discussion. The process did feel more fluid than structured, and that made it a little unpredictable.
