My client-focused round was very scenario-based, and there wasn’t much hands-on verification even though some technical areas came up.

The questioning pulled in a fairly broad set of infrastructure and platform topics—Linux from basic through advanced, Kubernetes, configuration management, monitoring, vault management, SQL queries, and tools like Prometheus and Grafana. I also got asked about Jenkins stages and how CI/CD pipelines fit together.

Even with the breadth, the way they framed it felt more like testing whether I could reason through real situations than checking every checkbox at the keyboard. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the round gave a clear picture of what parts of the stack they cared about.
