Shenzhen, ChinaCandidate report, summarized by Dataford

I started with an HR conversation, and it shaped the whole early pacing of my process.

In one path, I applied through LinkedIn and about a week later received an email to schedule a Zoom interview. The first round was an HR discussion in English with someone based in Singapore, and the conversation pace felt manageable.

In a separate experience tied to the same company’s SDE hiring motions, HR also handled role-level context right up front. I discussed differences between SDE II and III, and I decided to continue even though I didn’t have the typical experience level. HR didn’t downgrade the level, and the scheduling felt quick, with a hiring-manager-style interview following.
