Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a focused coding interview centered on a LeetCode-style problem marked easy.

Even though the category sounded approachable, I ended up struggling with the sliding window technique and couldn’t nail the details cleanly, which caused a bug.

What stood out was how quickly the gap between “knowing the pattern” and “implementing it perfectly” showed up for me. I ended up suggesting that I could get to a bug-free solution if I had time to practice writing code more directly toward correctness within the allotted window.

I didn’t end up with an offer. My reflection afterward was that the problem difficulty label didn’t match the effort it took for me to execute accurately
