Seattle, WAPosted May 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a moderate, structured process that mixed hands-on coding with a fairly open-ended design discussion.

Coding round (HackerRank) — I completed two coding problems on HackerRank; they were easy-to-medium and centered on core problem-solving with standard data structures and basic algorithmic thinking.
System design round — I discussed how to design a URL shortener (TinyURL-like), focusing on high-level architecture, scalability, API design, and trade-offs. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and the experience felt like a clarity-and-structure test rather than only deep algorithmics.
