Equifax Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Negative

IndiaPosted Oct 2016 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had a confusing, low-clarity experience where the interviewer behavior and scheduling felt more like discouragement than evaluation.

In-venue / waiting-and-hold — I was told to wait, then was effectively given a “resume on hold” message.
Role-mismatch dismissal + redirection — when my experience didn’t match what they were hiring for, I felt the conversation shifted toward persuading me not to apply rather than discussing fit.
Unclear next steps about timing and notice — I was pressured with a “join in 30 days” framing and questions about buyout of notice period, even though I hadn’t been offered anything. Outcome: I didn’t proceed; the takeaway was that the process felt disorganized and discouraging
