My first interview round was a short screen call on Google Meet, and what threw me off immediately was that the call was paired with Gemini and recorded.

I remember feeling uncomfortable with that setup, especially since it changed the vibe of the conversation.

As the interview went on, it became clearer that the interviewer didn’t have much technical background. Instead of digging into engineering details, it felt more like the interviewer was primarily capturing my answers for later review.

The round itself didn’t feel like a substantive evaluation of my skills, and I didn’t move forward to an offer.
