Electronic Arts Software Engineer interview experience

My experience involved a coding question that felt designed to trip me up.

The setup included variables and conditions written in a way that, when I had to say them out loud, came across as inappropriate and embarrassing.

Instead of just testing my ability to solve the problem, it felt like the wording itself was used to confuse or make the moment uncomfortable. That made the interaction feel degrading, and it threw off my ability to focus on problem-solving.

I didn’t receive an offer. The reflection I’m left with is that the process didn’t feel respectful—it focused on making the candidate stumble rather than seeing what I could actually do.
