Electronic Arts Software Engineer interview experience

I went through a long stretch—seven interviews—and throughout it, I never really understood what they wanted from me or what criteria would drive the decision. People were nice, but I didn’t get meaningful feedback after all that time.

The process itself felt inconsistent with what I was told at the start. Interviews were framed as one thing, but they turned into something else I hadn’t been prepared for, and that mismatch made the whole thing feel wasteful. After seven rounds, it was hard not to feel like I’d spent an unreasonable amount of time without any transparent explanation.
