Electronic Arts Software Engineer interview experience

No offer

Hard

Negative

Birmingham, EnglandPosted Jun 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

The interview overall felt like it started on a decent note—at least the setup and the moment-to-moment engagement felt “fun.” But it quickly turned unpleasant because one interviewer came across as openly misogynistic.

What really stood out was how the interviewer kept forgetting basic details, like where I went to university and what I studied. I could feel how forced and uncomfortable the interaction became rather than it reading like normal conversational mistakes.

I didn’t get an offer, and honestly, I wouldn’t want to work with people who showed that kind of disrespect. Even if the technical part could have gone fine, the experience left a lasting negative impression.
