JapanPosted Oct 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview journey was described as fairly straightforward, but the overall experience was filtered through discomfort with leadership and company culture.

Interview-to-offer trajectory — I experienced a process from application through interview with the expectation of an eventual offer.
Contextual concern — The feedback I focused on wasn’t about technical performance; it was that the professional services and leadership were perceived as male-dominated, making me feel less comfortable as a female candidate.
Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and the takeaway was that cultural comfort can outweigh otherwise “normal” process mechanics.
