ViennaPosted Feb 2026 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Dynatrace Software Engineer role and the experience was relatively easy in difficulty, with fewer deep technical questions and more focus on my past decisions and future expectations.

Screen / early interview — because of my GitHub profile, I mainly talked about what I’d worked on and why I made key choices.
Exploration of fit — I covered what I expect to do next and what I want to learn, rather than solving tough coding problems. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the process leaned toward discussion of decisions and learning goals instead of heavy technical drills.
