Detroit, MIPosted Jul 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a longer but smooth schedule: recruiter screening, multiple developer interviews, a take-home task, and a final review where I explained my code.

Recruiter screen — A 30-minute conversation covering my background and interest in the role.
Team interviews — I met with two senior developers and a team lead.
Take-home assessment — I completed an assignment.
Final interview (take-home walkthrough) — I evaluated the take-home by explaining my approach and code.
Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, but the takeaway was that performance was measured both on the written work and on my ability to explain it.
