Detroit, MIPosted Jul 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I had a COVID-era accelerated schedule: an initial pause announcement, then a rapid video follow-up with two team leads, focused mainly on technical skills.

Phone interview (typical intro) — I discussed my background and was told hiring would pause for safety reasons, but that a video option might follow.
Video interview with two developers/team leads — I covered technical and non-technical aspects with a focus on my technical skills and experience; I also asked how the role and tasks would work.
Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer, and the takeaway was that scheduling and interview format shifted quickly during the early pandemic period.
