Disney+HotStar Software Engineer interview experience

My first contact didn’t even turn into a full process.

I went into it with decent expectations, but the HR side felt unprofessional—my interview got cancelled without notice. I was left hanging with no clear reason, and it soured the whole experience.

When I did get to any assessment part, it felt very baseline: an online coding test with standard questions. The content leaned toward easy/medium, including arrays plus a couple of DP questions. It was the kind of test that didn’t really feel aligned with a thoughtful evaluation—more like checkbox preparation—especially after the abrupt cancellation.
