I interviewed for the role in an easy two-phase process, but the experience soured during compensation negotiations.

HR + technical — I had two rounds: first HR, then a technical interview.
Offer negotiation — I received an initial offer well below market expectations; after negotiations it reached a more reasonable level including variable pay. Outcome: I declined the final offer because the interviewer made me feel pressured to accept—so even with improved numbers, the takeaway was about respect and tone.
