I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at Daikin and found the early rounds on the easier side, focused more on fit and HVAC basics than deep coding, across a few stages.

HR recruiter-style screen — I had a phone or HR-style conversation where the focus was motivation to learn and general expectations about working in a complex environment.
Another HR call — In a similar screen, HR reviewed my experience and compared it to the similar vacancies I applied for.
Basic → technical → final — One structured path included an introductory round (education and notice period), then technical questions about HVAC basics and products, then a final round covering pay scale, negotiation, and joining terms.
HR + light technical — Another screening
