I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at Cyient with a tech-and-tool-testing journey that leaned practical, and it spanned walking-in style scheduling plus CAD/tool challenges.

Technical round (engineering fundamentals) — I was asked basic engineering topics (including stress/strain and material-related basics) and also about GD&T-style concepts.
Tool test — I completed a practical tool/design task; in one case it involved sheet-metal style sketching and extrusion, and in another it involved CAD/bra kets or wiring-harness routing under limited time.
Follow-up technical — After the tool test, I had another technical conversation about materials/heat-treatment concepts.
HR/salary discussion — I later discussed salary with the recruiting side
