I interviewed for a Software Engineer role at Cyient in a difficult, fundamentals-heavy process that ended after the technical HR stage.

Aptitude — I went through an assessment day with aptitude included alongside other evaluation.
Technical HR — I reached the technical HR round but didn’t pass it.
HR/personal HR — The process included a personal HR-style component overall, but I was rejected specifically at the technical HR step. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and the takeaway was that they strongly emphasized core fundamentals (not just surface-level knowledge).
