San Diego, CAPosted Mar 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a more casual, team-focused interview for a Software Engineer role that centered on walking through my resume and projects.

Team interview (in-person/casual) — I spoke with the team I’d work with; they reviewed my resume, asked about the projects I’d done, and what my biggest project was.
Team manager discussion — in a similar short experience, a software department manager asked about my basic background and school projects and also invited me to ask questions. Outcome: No offer, and the takeaway was that the evaluation felt about matching my experience to the team’s work, with minimal technical trickery.
