I applied for the role and got contacted by a recruiter, but I didn’t fully understand the interview process at the time.

When I asked the recruiter about it, they mentioned they were on holiday around the end of the year, which left me waiting without clarity.

I prepared for both LeetCode and system design, but the actual focus ended up being mostly C++ concepts. In the end, I didn’t get an offer, and the biggest takeaway for me was how off my preparation assumptions were relative to what the process really required.
