I interviewed for a retail manager-track style role using a mix of quick screening and scenario-style checks, with moderate emphasis on experience and readiness to work.

Front-of-line interview + short test — I waited with other applicants, then answered basic questions about relevant experience and completed a brief test.
Phone manager screen then in-store — I first spoke with a manager by phone, then came in to discuss retail experience and working hours.
Outcome: No offer — The experience felt manageable, but it focused on availability, baseline retail readiness, and how I responded under time pressure.
