I interviewed for an Account Executive-style role with a light, manager-led phone process that gradually moved from introductions into fit and problem-solving.

Phone screen with hiring manager(s) — A phone call interview that started with basic background questions, then shifted into problem-solving questions before ending with more personal questions.
Manager-led focus on “fit” — The interviewer primarily wanted to understand me directly: my strengths/weaknesses and what I could bring compared with others.
Outcome: No offer — Overall it felt structured but not overly technical, and it centered on how I’d present myself and handle scenarios.
