I went through three interviews before I was asked to deliver a PP-style presentation.

What threw me off immediately was timing: the deck was provided less than 24 hours before the presentation, and I was expected to customize it.

I delivered the presentation to a VP and a peer while juggling a full-time job and other interviews at the same time. Afterward, the VP told me that even if I got the job, it wouldn’t necessarily mean I’d be hired permanently because they’d reassess after about 90 days, and that comment completely changed the vibe for me. I ended up not moving forward.
