I interviewed for a Corning Software Engineer-type role in a very preparation-heavy journey with difficult technical questioning and a multi-interview onsite after earlier screens.

Two technical phone screenings — Early calls were focused on technical fundamentals (process/control concepts like model predictive control and PID, plus multivariate analysis topics).
Long onsite presentation — I had to give a one-hour presentation (my PhD/thesis or a technical topic) with Q&A.
Multiple one-on-ones (8 total) — I went through a full set of hour-long interviews, mixing technical conversations and personality-style assessments.
Dense, structured onsite — Another similar journey included a two-day onsite: plant/area tours and dinner, then a presentation
