I experienced a fairly structured, recruiter-to-hiring-manager journey that mixed quick screens with multiple live interviews, often in the span of days to a couple of weeks.

Recruiter screen — I had an initial phone or recruiter chat focused on my background and the role.
Hiring manager + role fit — I then met the hiring manager for general questions, with them signaling specific answers they wanted.
