CIBC Business Analyst interview experience

Hard

Positive

Toronto, PEPosted Nov 2024 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

For the BA role, I had a good experience overall, though it still had a technical edge.

The interview went well with a good manager, and the conversation felt engaging rather than purely checklist-driven.

What surprised me was that I was effectively pushed to accept the offer during the process. I didn’t end up choosing CIBC because I accepted another offer elsewhere, even though the interview itself felt positive.

So even with an overall strong interaction, I didn’t end in an offer acceptance. My reflection was pretty simple: the process gave me confidence, but the timing and offer situation meant I had to make a choice that wasn’t ultimately tied to CIBC alone.
