After the recruiter reached out through LinkedIn, I started with an online assessment on HackerEarth.

The test felt pretty structured: five aptitude questions, two coding questions, and five SQL query questions. I cleared that round and then got a call for the next technical discussion.

The second stage was a more traditional technical interview with medium coding problems. Besides the coding, I also got hit with Java-related questions. I felt like I answered everything during that interview, but I still didn’t move forward and wasn’t shortlisted afterward. It was a bit deflating because the process made it feel like I was doing the right things up to that point, but the decision came anyway.
