My interview started with the kind of basics that immediately narrowed the focus: I was asked about EDI and the edifact format, plus general programming fundamentals.

They kept it language-agnostic at first—“in any language”—and then asked me to write a basic script using the language I chose.

From there, we shifted into workflow understanding and then into SQL knowledge checks. The structure felt deliberately targeted, like they were verifying that I understood the data interchange concepts as well as the practical scripting and querying pieces.

Difficulty felt average overall, and the process ended without an offer. What stuck with me was how specific the first technical questions were compared to the broader role label.
