I started with a recruiter screening that I passed, and then I was asked to complete an assessment that required a short video made in Canva.

It was focused on demonstrating leadership, tied to improving a problem in the community or user experience, and the video was meant to be about two minutes.

After I submitted my video, I was rejected. Looking back, I leaned heavily on my background as an urban researcher from my university’s architecture faculty and also my coordinator experience from an art consulting setting, but it didn’t translate into what they wanted to see for that prompt. I then had an in-person interview after that, and I didn’t receive an offer.
