My experience started with a general recruiter conversation, but I was caught off guard by how technical it became.

Even when the job direction sounded different, the interview still leaned strongly into JavaScript-style questioning right away, including things where code snippets were part of how they assessed understanding.

After that, I went into a pairing-style technical round where I worked with an engineer on a coding task. The setup was practical: fetch and organize data, work with nested structures, and demonstrate the logic clearly while coding live. Some versions of this process also included an extra technical interview focused on coding and how the solution came together.
